Inspired by global traditions and spontaneous music, Tina Blaine (aka Bean) has been studying drumming for more than 20 years with master drummers from all over Africa, including Karamba Diabate, Moussa Sylla, Mamady Keita, Malonga Casquelourd, Mbemba Pangou, Meissa Thioube, Abdoulaye Diakate and many others. She enjoys teaching people to play from their hearts and helps them to find their own rhythm with a hands-on approach to teaching and collaborative music-making. Bean has written music for NPR, video games, TV and documentary soundtracks, and has performed/recorded with Brian Eno, Mickey Hart, Haunted by Waters, D'CüCKOO, Tracy Blackman, RhythMix, Pandemonaeon, Bogo and others lured by the muse.
